Bekkersdal Development Forum

The Bekkersdal Development Forum (BDF) is a community forum elected by the people of Bekkersdal to participate in the Bekkersdal Renewal Project. The aim of the BDF is to keep the people of Bekkersdal informed about the development projects taking place and to get their involvement. [ Read more ]

Community Liason Officers

The Bekkersdal Renewal Project (BRP) appointed six Community Liaison Officers (CLOs) in August 2007. “The CLOs are the foot soldiers of the Bekkersdal Renewal Project,” said David Molebatsi, the Chairman of the Bekkersdal Development Forum. “Their role is critical – they are responsible for ensuring overall liaison between the BRP and the community of Bekkersdal,” he said. Sport in Bekkersdal

“The Bekkersdal community is sick and tired of crime and they are saying enough is enough!” This is according to Andy Mashaile, of the Bekkersdal Community Policing Forum (CPF). The CPF and the SAPS decided fight back over the long Easter weekend, through a three-day awareness-raising soccer tournament, held at the Bekkersdal stadium.
